Business Planning for Fun and Profit

People start their own businesses for a wide variety of reasons.  Maybe they can’t get a job in their field.  They may work for a company and believe they can do a better job than the company is doing in serving the customer.  They may want to control their own destiny.  If they are also raising children, they may want to work from home and create some life balance.  Likely, they want to make money, maybe a lot of money.

Whether or not self-employment will achieve all of these goals, it’s usually an exciting experience.  How well you do depends on both personal qualities and business skills.
